The objective of this building is to achieve the patient’s ideal health condition, by making sure the highest quality of the medical attention, through the integration of human, physical and technological resources of the best excellence.
This hospital must develop a permanent renovation scheme and adequate medical equipment, as well as an updating scheme of the medical personnel to get a higher level of medical knowledge.
Description of the Building
The general building design concept must integrate the Corporative Image of the Medical Institution. The exterior and interior design will have decorative and architectural elements that make the stay of the patients and visitors more pleasant. The organization of the space and environmental elements must let the medical personnel and visitors move. The atmosphere in the exterior should be integrated by sculptural elements, gardens, squares, and graphic signs that allow visitors to get to the different areas.
The parking lot is a fundamental area, due to most patients and visitors arrive at the Hospital by car, it must be situated next to the main entrance and include ramps for disable people.
The lobby must include the information module, a location sketch of the whole building and the site plan, and a waiting room. A restaurant, a snack bar, and shops should be located near or inside the lobby.
The accommodation rooms must include elements that provide the best comfort for patients and their companions; they must be big enough to include a living room with TV service and tables for games as distraction for companions of the patient; a recreational area and a gym must be near to be used by patients and probably by visitors or even the medical personnel.
In the doctor office there must be a data center, a library, and a sport and eating area.
The general services are: bathrooms for visitors and patients in the waiting rooms area, changing rooms for the medical and maintenance personnel, laundry, engine room, septic room, electrical generation department and dumpsters.
